AFTERCARE
There is more than one correct way to heal a tattoo -Talk to your artist about the best method for you.

METHOD | DRY HEAL
FIRST DAY
Remove bandage after 2-3 hours and wash the tattoo with unscented soap.
Be sure your tattoo is clean and free of ALL Vaseline, blood, etc. and pat dry with a clean paper towel.
FIRST WEEK
Gently wash daily as required. Do not soak excessively or take extended showers.
A small amount of Vitamin A + E may be applied. Avoid strongly medicated ointments such as Polysporin. A light spray of Bactine can also be used as an antiseptic and pain reliever.
Unscented lotion may be applied only
after 3-5 days - Using lotion earlier may result in clogged pores.
METHOD | SECOND SKIN
FIRST DAY
Do not peel, cut, or attempt to 'stretch' the Second Skin bandage with motion. Allow your fresh tattoo a chance to heal properly.
FIRST WEEK
Leave the porous Second Skin bandage
on your tattoo for 3-5 days. Avoid exposing the bandage to direct sunlight while using.
If a large pocket of plasma forms under the bandage after the first day, it can be removed. A fresh dressing may then be applied and left on for 3-5 days.
For best results, remove the Second Skin under warm water, which will soften the glue.

Always wash your hands before and after washing/touching your tattoo while it is healing.
